📋 Job Overview

Mercy Corps is hiring TB Screeners to support tuberculosis detection and referral activities at designated hospitals in Sialkot. The selected candidate will conduct verbal screening of patients in OPDs, identify presumptive TB cases, coordinate diagnostic testing, maintain accurate records, and assist in patient referrals according to national TB guidelines.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Conduct verbal TB screening of patients visiting OPDs using the approved screening tool.
• Identify and refer presumptive TB patients for medical evaluation.
• Ensure sputum sample collection and coordinate transportation for laboratory testing.
• Maintain accurate screening, testing, and patient documentation.
• Coordinate with doctors, laboratories, GeneXpert teams, and district supervisors.
• Support registration of drug-resistant TB patients at PMDT sites.
• Prepare monthly reports on screened and confirmed TB cases.
• Assist during monitoring visits by provincial and district stakeholders.
• Follow Mercy Corps safeguarding, ethics, and operational policies.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Regional Coordinator or Project Manager.

🎯 Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or a relevant discipline.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in community-based health programs.
• Preference for candidates with experience in TB DOTS awareness programs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English, Urdu, and Punjabi.
• Basic computer skills (MS Word & MS Excel).
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and within a team.
