Location: Kharan, Balochistan, Pakistan (Regional Office: Quetta)

Mercy Corps Pakistan is seeking a District Field Supervisor – Kharan to support the implementation of the TB-DOTS Public-Private Mix (PPM) Project. The selected candidate will coordinate with district health authorities, healthcare facilities, laboratories, and project stakeholders to strengthen tuberculosis prevention, case detection, reporting, and treatment services while ensuring effective field operations and program compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with District TB Coordinators, Regional Coordinators, healthcare facilities, laboratories, and other stakeholders for effective TB-DOTS implementation.
• Conduct district mapping exercises in collaboration with district health authorities when required.
• Prepare and submit monthly work plans, progress reports, activity reports, and quarterly TB recording & reporting (R&R) tools.
• Ensure timely execution of work plans and achievement of assigned TB case registration targets.
• Conduct regular monitoring visits to hospitals, private healthcare providers, and laboratories.
• Support proper maintenance of TB records, reporting tools, anti-TB drug stocks, laboratory reagents, and supplies.
• Promote and monitor contact screening for bacteriologically positive TB cases.
• Identify TB suspects, MDR suspects, and support timely case registration.
• Coordinate and implement Active Case Finding (ACF) activities in collaboration with district health authorities.
• Maintain complete programmatic and financial documentation, including activity reports, photographs, meeting minutes, and monitoring records.
• Support supervisory visits from national, provincial, and district health teams.
• Ensure compliance with Mercy Corps operational, procurement, safeguarding, and security policies.
• Perform additional responsibilities assigned by the Regional Coordinator.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or a relevant discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in community-based development or public health programs.
• Preference will be given to candidates with at least 2 years of experience in TB-DOTS awareness or tuberculosis control programs.

Required Skills

• Strong coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Fluency in English, Urdu, and the local language of the assigned district.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and within multidisciplinary teams.
