🎓 Educational Qualification

Candidates must have:

• Bachelor’s (4 Years) degree in Computer Science / IT / Cyber Security / Information Security / Electrical / Electronics Engineering
• OR equivalent qualification in a related field
• Degree must be HEC-recognized and attested
• Relevant Information Security certifications will be an added advantage

💼 Professional Experience

• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
• Experience in:
  • Information Security
  • Information Technology
  • Database Administration
  • Network Device Administration
• Preference for candidates with:
  • IBM Security product certifications or equivalent
  • CySA+, Data+ or similar IS certifications

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage IBM Guardium for database activity monitoring and protection
• Deploy Guardium agents on database servers and ensure proper log collection
• Manage patch updates and license renewals of security appliances
• Monitor and analyze database incidents using IBM Guardium tools
• Perform data discovery and classification with stakeholders for security prioritization
• Audit privileged and general database activities
• Analyze database risks using log analytics and reporting tools
• Implement cybersecurity controls for:
  • On-premises databases
  • Cloud-based database systems
• Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and data protection mechanisms

🧠 Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and database security practices
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Technical writing and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate across teams
• Familiarity with scripting and automation (RPA/reporting tools preferred)
• Eagerness to learn emerging technologies
