Job Description

📍 Location: Diamir & Ghizar, Gilgit-Baltistan

NADRA is seeking skilled and experienced IT professionals for the position of Deputy Assistant Director (Technical) in the Gilgit-Baltistan Region under the provisions of Regulations 9, 10 and 11 of the NADRA Employees (Service) Regulations, 2002.

The selected professional will be responsible for managing IT infrastructure, networks, systems, technical support, cybersecurity compliance, and troubleshooting across the assigned region.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in:
    • Computer Sciences
    • Information Technology
    • Software Engineering
    • Equivalent relevant field
  • Degree must be from an HEC-recognized university and duly attested.
  • Master’s degree will be preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience in:
    • IT infrastructure operations
    • Communication systems
    • Computer networks
  • Certifications such as CCNA, Cyber Security, and Active Directory will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain server and client machines for optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot web applications, software, hardware, and peripheral devices.
  • Provide technical support for login, authentication, and access-related issues.
  • Perform patch management and system updates.
  • Monitor incidents, maintain logs, and coordinate with backend support teams.
  • Provide 24/7 technical support and ensure timely incident resolution.
  • Follow defined SLA-based incident reporting, escalation, and resolution procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with endpoint security standards and information security policies.
  • Maintain timely antivirus updates across client and server systems.
  • Troubleshoot LAN connectivity, cabling, and switch-port configuration issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and network components.
  • Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and log analysis.
  • Configure and support routing, switching, firewalls, VLANs, and VPN technologies.
  • Administer core network and directory services, including DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory.
  • Conduct pre-deployment readiness checks covering network security and endpoint protection.
  • Support compliance audits by preparing required documentation and evidence.
  • Participate in technical evaluation of tenders, particularly regarding infrastructure security and technology suitability.

Terms & Conditions

  • The position will be offered on a contract basis with a 6-month probation period, which may be extended if required.
  • NADRA reserves the right to cancel, withhold, accept, or reject the recruitment process/application at any stage.

  • Attested degrees from HEC/relevant regulatory bodies must be presented at the interview.
