In Pakistan, each individual is allowed a limited number of SIMs to be registered under their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC). To prevent misuse and ensure your identity isn't being misused, it's important to regularly check how many SIMs are registered against your CNIC. Here’s how you can do it easily:
Method 1: Via PTA’s SIM Information System (Online)
Visit the official PTA SIM Information website:
Go to https://cnic.sims.pk
Enter your CNIC number (without dashes).
Verify the CAPTCHA and click on Submit.
The website will display a list of all active SIMs registered on your CNIC, categorized by mobile network operators (e.g., Jazz, Zong, Telenor, Ufone, etc.).
Method 2: Via SMS (Offline)
Open your phone’s messaging app.
Type your 13-digit CNIC number (without dashes).
Send it to 668.
You will receive a text message reply showing the number of active SIMs registered against your CNIC on each mobile network.
Note: Standard SMS charges may apply.
Tips for Safety
If you find any unknown or unauthorized numbers, immediately contact the relevant network operator to block or investigate them.
Regularly check to make sure your CNIC is not being misused.
PTA allows a maximum of 5 SIMs per CNIC per network.
Keeping track of your registered SIMs helps protect your identity and prevents unauthorized use of your CNIC.
